About Filigree Consulting

Filigree Consulting was created to bring meaningful, collaborative solutions to human services organisations.

Filigree symbolises the interconnected nature of systems, services and people in the sector. Its intricate, intertwined patterns represent the power of collaboration in achieving social impact and the stability and strength that co-design creates. Just as each filigree piece is unique and carefully crafted, Filigree Consulting brings an attentive approach to meet your organisation’s specialised needs.

Our purpose is in designing the human service environments of the future to support professionals to thrive in complex, emotionally demanding roles and achieve greater social impact.

Additionally, we are working towards our vision to develop immersive technologies and practice models which transform the training and development experience for human service professionals.

Amanda is an empathic human services leader dedicated to fostering healthy and productive work environments that empower staff to deliver quality services to clients and the community.

With extensive leadership experience in the human services sector, Amanda transitioned from a 20-year career in child protection to focus on business development in the not-for-profit sector. This shift from direct social services to driving broader social impact culminated in the founding of Filigree Consulting. With a robust network across human services, technology, business and industry, Amanda leverages expertise and stakeholders from multiple sectors.

Committed to continuous learning, Amanda is nearing the completion of her Master of Business Administration at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). In 2024, she completed MIT Sloan School of Management’s Immersion Program, where her team achieved second place in a pitch competition for their innovative technology which addressed risk assessment gaps in human services training. Amanda also holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) from QUT and a Postgraduate Diploma in Policy and Applied Social Research from Macquarie University.

Amanda lives in Toowoomba with her husband Bradd, their 10-year-old daughter and the family’s energetic English Springer Spaniel. When she is not studying or consulting, Amanda enjoys travelling, creating family adventures, savouring a good coffee, practicing yoga and diving into audiobooks.
